Owner, Adrianna Baker, was awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award at last week’s 2019 Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards. Hosted by the BBC’s Steph McGovern, it was the first award they have ever been nominated for.
Veronica Kirwan, Director of Community Programmes ‘Peabody Community Foundation in Thamesmead is there to support local businesses, we have a comprehensive enterprise programme called Made in Thamesmead with monthly pop-up markets and forums for existing and new businesses to learn about the work Peabody are doing and provide support to access procurement opportunities locally. We are delighted that one of our local entrepreneurs has been recognised and hope this is the first of many more to come’.
The Made in Thamesmead enterprise programme was established in October 2017 to celebrate entrepreneurship and showcase the talent that resides within Thamesmead. The programme is used as a platform for the local business community within Thamesmead and the surrounding areas to receive commissioned enterprise training, promote their businesses, share ideas, good practise and to provide a business support network.
