The recently refurbished Moorings Sociable Club has been shortlisted for the prestigious AJ Architecture Awards 2022 in the Community and Faith Project category.

The recently refurbished Moorings Sociable Club has been shortlisted for the prestigious AJ Architecture Awards 2022 in the Community and Faith Project category.

We’ve worked closely with the local community and partners over the last four years to bring the club back to life after almost two decades of it lying empty. Restored with an ethos of care and repair and now open to the public, the building offers an accessible, attractive and welcoming space to benefit everyone in the community.

The awards ceremony will be taking place in November this year so we’ll keep you posted on our progress. In the meantime, you can find out more about the Moorings Sociable Club here. It’s a wonderful place. Do pop in next time you’re in Thamesmead!
