Working with contractors FM Conway, the five newly installed EV charging points will be available for use by our colleagues and our residents, improving access to charging facilities and therefore making it easier to consider switching to electric vehicles in the future.
As part of our Sustainability Strategy, we aim to convert 100% of all our own fleet to electric vehicles by 2030.
Richard Ellis, Peabody’s Director of Sustainability, said: “We know that electric vehicles can help with soaring fuel prices that we have seen recently, lowering costs but also dramatically reducing carbon emissions. We want to make it easier for our residents to have access to EV charging points if they choose to have an electric vehicle in the future.
“These new EV charging points will also play an important role in helping us get one step further to having a 100% electric fleet of vehicles as they help our residents in and around London. Knowing that our points are easily available will mean that our vehicles can be charged up easily no matter where our teams are working on our estates.”
