A bee safari walk with Nikki Gammans, Conservation Projects Manager (SE England) for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, with support from bird expert J D Swann.

Explore local bumblebees that have returned from their winter hibernation. Nikki will give expert advice on identifying different species along the route which spans the Ridgeway path, Southmere Lake and the Old Golf Course.

There will be nets and temporary catching pots available to help with close-up identification, plus a printed sheet for each participant showing the Bumblebees you may experience along the way.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust is the only charity dedicated to the conservation of bumblebees.

Supported by the Making Space for Nature Fund.
