Thamesmead Times: Revisited - Collaging Workshop

Join local artist Chloe Cooper and delve into local news from yesteryear to celebrate Local History Month.
Leaf through issues of the Thamesmead Times from the 1990s at Thamesmere Library, create a collage of favourite headlines, stories and features, then create a community zine at TACO! Print Studio.
“These will be made up of our favourite articles, adverts and photos,” explained Chloe. “We’ll collage them together before printing them on the risograph machine at the TACO! Print Studio.”
This is a drop-in collaging session. You will:
- Browse the old newspapers
- Choose your favourite Thamesmead article, advert or image
- Learn how to get it ready for Risograph printing, using scissors, glue, pens and paper.
You can then come along to a printing session to create a zine featuring everybody's favourite features.
All sessions are free because this project is funded by the Thamesmead Community Fund. A panel of people works with Peabody to award funds.
