Thamesmead Community Archive
This community archive is home to photos, videos, posters, brochures, architects’ drawings, documents and audio interviews that tell us more about Thamesmead’s history. It holds hundreds of local items spanning seven decades.
Material for the archive has been mostly collected from local residents (past and present), Bexley Local Studies and Archive, London Metropolitan Archive, the British Library, the RIBA archive, housing associations and local authorities.
If you have a story to tell or images of Thamesmead through the ages, please visit the Thamesmead Community Archive website.
Thamesmead's Community Archive is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
