Peabody and Berkeley’s vision for Plumstead – West Thamesmead is to deliver a new model mixed-use neighbourhood, that connects the existing residents and businesses in Plumstead, Broadwater Green, and Thamesmead.
The emerging proposals will transform 17 acres of vacant and inaccessible land adjacent to Plumstead station with high-quality design homes and workspaces in a range of sizes and tenures. These will cater to different needs and incomes, providing employment and premises for a range of local and start-up businesses.
It will increase the connections between Plumstead, Broadwater Green, and Thamesmead with a variety of biodiverse green spaces created for everyone to enjoy that feature engaging open play areas and promote healthy living.
Peabody and Berkeley are excited to be working together with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the GLA on plans for Plumstead - West Thamesmead. The site forms the largest area for development within the Abbey Wood, Plumstead, and Thamesmead Housing Zone and is one of the first projects to come forward as part of the wider regeneration of Thamesmead.
