New directions published for the Green Chain Walk

New directions for the Green Chain Walk's 52-mile network have been published by The Ramblers in partnership with Transport for London.

The South East London Green Chain is made up of over 300 open spaces and woodland that form a great arc of undeveloped land between the River Thames and Crystal Palace Park. The Green Chain Walk was established and waymarked in 1977 to ease and encourage the exploration of this unique resource.

The first section of the walk stretches from Thamesmead to Lesnes Abbey.

> You can find a general overview of the network here.

> Directions to the entire network can be found here.

> The signage along the route is generally in excellent condition but damage or losses can occur. If you notice any defects with signage you can report it to The Ramblers: green-chain@innerlondonramblers.org.uk
