How we’re supporting our residents this winter

Advice Hub

Every Wednesday

9.30am and 12.30pm

Moorings Sociable Club, Arnott Close, Thamesmead, SE28 8BG

Get free, confidential advice on things like energy bills, housing, benefits, immigration and employment.

No appointment is required, however advice is first come first served. Spaces are limited so arrive early if you can.

At each Cosy Corner you'll find a warm and friendly space where you can relax and get advice about staying warm this winter. You can also visit a Cosy Corner for:

- free tea and coffee

- energy saving advice

- use of charging points

- support and advice about cost of living

 

Free soup at the Love Soup Café

Every Thursday

12pm to 4pm

Broadwater Village Hall, 1C Goosander Way, SE28 0ER

If you live in West Thamesmead, get along to the Love Soup Café where you can enjoy a delicious bowl of free homemade soup alongside friends and neighbours.

Organiser Kim Vale says: “We wanted to create a place for people to get together with their neighbours and share warming soup made with love. There will be good company, soul soothing music, and crafts for adults and kids.”

Every Friday

Visit the Camouflage Café, located on the top floor of the Moorings Sociable Club every Friday for soup and a hot drink.

 

Free hot meals with Roar Pursuits

Every Tuesday

12pm - 4pm

Broadwater Village Hall, Goosander Way, SE28 0ER

Enjoy free hot meals and drinks courtesy of not for profit organisation Roar Pursuits.
