Open call: Take part in Thamesmead Festival 2025!

The annual Thamesmead Festival is back on Saturday 2 August 2025 and we’re looking for performers, creatives, artists, community groups and food and craft vendors!

Interested in taking part in this unique event? We have four open calls to choose from. Please read the descriptions below and fill in the one that’s most suitable for you.

Please note: The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 16 March 2025.

Want to perform at the Thamesmead Festival?

This year’s festival will see the return of the Park Stage, up on the hill, and the more informal Unplugged Stage among the trees. We are looking forward to filling these stages with a variety of performances, from music to spoken word, dance, magic and comedy. And if we’re missing something that you can offer, let us know – we’d love to hear about it!

Apply to our performance open call and let us know more about you and your performance.

Do you have a creative workshop or project, or want to showcase an art installation?

We are looking for artists and creatives living or working in Thamesmead and the surrounding areas, who would like to bring their ideas and artworks to our festival.

If you have an engaging and interactive workshop or project idea that could work on a busy festival site, get in touch! We are also interested in temporary art installations to make the festival site colourful and fun.

Apply to our creative open call and let us know more about what you would like to bring to our festival.

Are you a local charity or community group wanting a stall?

We are looking for charities and community groups that are active in Thamesmead and the surrounding areas and would like to have a presence at the Thamesmead Festival.

We would love local groups and charities to have community stalls at the event, providing information about their work in the community and running small scale, free workshops or activities for visitors. You can hand out freebies, however no products should be sold.

Apply to our community open call and let us know how you would want to showcase your work to visitors at our festival.

Are you a food vendor, or have a craft stall and would like to trade at our festival?

We're looking for quality street food and drink vendors, along with businesses that sell crafts, art and more to join us this year.

The Thamesmead food and craft market is managed by CC events. You can apply to the vendors open call and let us know what you have to offer.

All decisions for open call applications are made by the Festival Advisory Board (FAB) and festival producers, who are all local residents leading on the planning of the Thamesmead Festival. If your application is successful, you will be notified by someone from Serious - an international events company and our festival delivery partner which works closely with the FAB and festival producers.
