The Moorings Sociable Club

The Moorings Sociable Club was officially reopened in March 2022, after being closed for more than 15 years.  

From 2018 to 2021 we worked with a dedicated group of local residents on a major refurbishment programme. We wanted to ensure the community space would best meet local people’s needs.  

The club’s facilities include a large performance space, a training room, a shared workspace, local business displays, an alcove museum, a community café and an IT suite. 

The club also offers a range of quality services to support local people with issues including housing, jobs and training, immigration and money management. 

The refurbishment was made possible with funding from Peabody, the Mayor of London and the London Economic Action Partnership (LEAP).
