Canopy Forest Listening Workshop
14:00PM-17:00PM
Tump 53, Water Lily Walk, Thamesmead SE28 8AS
Discover the sounds and stories of Thamesmead's natural landscape at this free creative workshop inspired by CANOPY, an immersive sound installation celebrating our relationship with trees, forests and the natural world, which will form part of Nature Speaks in September.
Led by artist Lorna Rees, these workshops invite you to slow down, listen and connect with nature through mindful listening, observation, drawing, conversation and collaborative making. As you explore Tump 53 Nature Reserve, you'll be encouraged to share your own memories and reflections about nature in Thamesmead.
Your contributions will help create new audio material for the CANOPY installation, which will be presented as part of Greenwich + Docklands International Festival 2026.
The workshops are suitable for all ages and are free to attend, but booking is required.
