Dartford Orienteers
09:30AM-11:00AM
The Nest, Cygnet Square, SE2 9FA
Try orienteering for free when Dartford Orienteers return to Thamesmead this September.
Club members will be racing against the clock and each other to make their way between checkpoints scattered across the town. Using a special orienteering map, they will work out the best way to complete the course as quickly as possible.
The orienteering club is offering free entry to local people who want to have a go.
"There is no set route so the skill and fun come from trying to find the best way to go," explained Andrew Evans, from Dartford Orienteers. "You do not need to enter in advance – just turn up at The Nest to receive a detailed orienteering map of part of the estate."
The event will be the club's second visit to the town. It follows a successful orienteering event in Thamesmead in October 2024.
