Explore the spectacular, Grade I-listed Crossness Pumping Station during this special London Festival of Architecture open day.
Enjoy talks from Neil McLaughlin, Associate Partner at heritage architects Purcell, on the design and development of the Victorian pumping station and Sir Joseph Bazalgette's revolutionary sewer network for London, which transformed public health in the city.
There will also be a rare opportunity to see the 1862 building plans, as well as a photography exhibition by Alessia Gammarota, one of the Bow Arts artists living in Thamesmead, and a sound piece by Katerina Vazacova celebrating the 100-plus volunteers at Crossness.
Adult tickets are from £20.37, with family tickets and concessions available.
