Thamesmead Learning Circle: Macramé Workshop

Make your very own hanging basket using a simple weaving technique called macramé during free crafting workshops.

Over two sessions, you will learn how to do macramé. By the end of the second session you will have created a handmade hanging basket to take home.

The workshops are free and all materials are provided, but booking is essential. Choose from one of two programmes:

1. Thursday 12 and 19 March
2. Thursday 26 March and Thursday 2 April

The macramé workshops are part of Thamesmead Learning Circle (TLC), a weekly craft group where local people share their specialist craft skills in a series of programmed workshops and mentorship.

TLC is run by local artist and creative Marcus Orlandi and supported by a grant from the Thamesmead Community Fund.
