Thamesmead Canvas Drop-In Session

Come along to share feedback on initial plans for a new public platform for artists, neighbours and the local community close to Southmere Lake.
Design and build team Yes Make is working with residents to build a canvas, which will be handed over to artists – one commission at a time – to create and display new artwork made specifically for Thamesmead.
What does that look like? There's still time to get involved in answering to that question. Yes Make want to share some initials ideas formulated after the first drop-in session in June.
Drop into the Thamesmead Social between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 1 August to give feedback and share your ideas on how the public canvas should work.
“Everyone is welcome,” said Shanayah Dadral, Engagement Lead at Yes Make. “We’d love to know what would make you stop and spend time in your neighbourhood more and how you see yourself engaging with it."
