Introduction to Risograph

Saturday 26 September
14:00PM-16:30PM
TACO! Print Studio, 30 Poplar Place, SE28 8BA

Learn how to create prints using a Risograph with help from experienced artists.

A cross between photocopying and screen printing, Riso printing uses digital files and other graphics to create eye-catching layered images.

The Introduction to Risograph workshop gives participants an opportunity to get to grips with the technology, then create their own artwork. Using drawing, collage and two-colour printing on the Risograph, each participant will make 10 prints to take home.

“I came away with a solid understanding of the basics of Riso printing thanks to the personal guidance provided,” said Louise Sinniah-Burr, who was looking for a creative
outlet when she signed up for a workshop. “I wholeheartedly recommend this workshop to anyone, of any age, who is artistically curious or looking to broaden their skill set.”

Chloe Cooper is one of the experienced artists who runs the Riso sessions at the recently opened TACO! Print Studio in Poplar Place.

“Risograph printing is a great way to spread the word about community events,” said Chloe. “You can use it to make eye-catching flyers and posters in an affordable and environmentally sustainable way.

“Once you’ve learned, you can book time on the machine to complete your projects.”

The workshop is priced at £40 plus booking fee.
