The very first Thamesmead Schools Adventure Challenge is a fantastic 5 km adventure walk around Thamesmead. The challenge starts and finishes in Birchmere Park, with mystery challenges and puzzles along the route.
Local Year 6 children will learn key personal and social skills during the challenge helping to get them ready for the next stage in their school journey, including: Learning to work together as a team, building resilience and determination, acting responsibly and communicating effectively with others.
The Thamesmead Schools Adventure Challenge is for local Year 6 primary school challenge. In groups of six, your pupils will walk a 5 km trail and work as a team to complete three mystery challenges and puzzles. The challenge will help to improve your children’s communication and teamwork, and give them a huge sense of achievement on the day.
The Adventure Challenge will connect aims to connect local children with Nature and their local environment.

Post event competition:
After the event your school and class are invited to take part in a competition. If you would like to participate you and your class have two weeks to produce a picture, poem or short summary (400 words) about the day and challenge. The work will be judged by Peabody with the winning pupils class receiving a free half day session at Tump 53 Nature Reserve.
