Southmere Village is the first phase of the South Thamesmead and Abbey Wood Housing zone.
This will deliver more than 1,600 new homes on four sites on the doorstep of the new Elizabeth line station at Abbey Wood.
Southmere Village will deliver more than 1,600 new homes on four sites close to the new Elizabeth Line station at Abbey Wood. A selection of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments will be available to buy through help to buy and outright sale and a number of apartments. Approx. 54% of the homes will be affordable housing (rent and shared ownership) with 3 and 4 bedroom townhouses available through Shared Ownership.
As well as creating new homes, the development will also bring new life to South Thamesmead with new shops and amenities - providing jobs, a new public square, a library and flexible community facilities, and outdoor activity spaces.
