Wellbeing, both in terms of physical wellbeing – health, diet & healthy eating and exercise - and in terms of mental and spiritual wellbeing – including mental health therapies, counselling, yoga, pilates, mindfulness and a range of other potential solutions – is becoming increasingly important. The consequences of ignoring these issues manifest themselves in terms of obesity, poor health, diabetes and a range of other health issues and also in terms of mental health, high rates of depression, anxiety, self-harm, lack of self-worth and suicidal tendencies.

Many groups and individuals now recognise the importance of wellbeing and this workshop will show you how to set up a wellbeing project, where the sources of grant funding and other resources are and how to access them.

 Agenda

  1. First steps to set up a Wellbeing Project
  2. What is the appropriate structure to develop it? Small group, community group, social enterprise, charity or other structure
  3. Funding for Wellbeing Projects - charitable grants, Crowd Funding, Lottery funding, private sector funding, income generation and others
  4. The Next Steps
