PORTAL

The Learning & Enterprise College Bexley are pleased to announce that we have been successful in our application to the Mayor of London’s Office for additional funding to support employees to improve their skills during these very difficult times. The current climate in the country and borough has had a huge impact on employers and employees. In particular, the fund aims to support providers to meet the training needs of the following key groups:

  • Furloughed workers and the self-employed whose incomes fall below the London Living Wage as a result of COVID-19
  • Those made redundant as a result of COVID-19
  • Key workers requiring additional training to meet the changing demands of their roles
  • Learners who are at risk of digital exclusion

In the first instance, the Learning & Enterprise College Bexley can deliver a programme over the next few months to help your business and your staff, our offer includes:

All learners need to undergo an initial assessment for Functional Skills learning to ensure that we have the right learner on the right programme to allow individualised progression through levels. Learners on completion will also have a course evaluation and careers guidance meeting to discuss employment and / or progression programmes if appropriate. Our delivery throughout July & August will be online, however, if social distancing restrictions are eased a blended learning approach can be used to facilitate learner outcomes.

If you have staff that fall within the above category and you feel that adult learning could benefit your workforce and improve the skills within your organisation, or sadly you’re having to make staff redundant, please get in touch with us emailing [email protected]
