The second Thamesmead Session based around Fashion & photography took place on the 17th October 2019 at the Thamesmead Information Hub, 214 Yarnton Way, Erith, DA18 4DR. Local residents enjoyed the morning listening to key speakers in the industry and hearing about opportunities available to them in and around Thamesmead.
Tapiwa, a local resident who is an established fashion designer and business women as well as a qualified lecturer attended as a guest speaker to talk about her journey into the fashion industry and her personal experiences so far.
Ravensbourne University were also in attendance promoting their £5 taster week courses around photography/videography which can be found here and will run between Monday 28th October 2019 - Friday 1st November 2019.
Shelley from Learning & Enterprise College of Bexley (LECB) provided us with a detailed insight into the different courses LECB offer in regards to Fashion & Photography.
Andrew from The Content Creatives also provided an insight in how to get into Photography/Videography using basic equipment such as your smartphone to create content.
Local residents were able to gain invaluable advice and an insight into the industry and will hope to make their next step into the Fashion & Photography industry.
