Finding funding is always tough, but we’ll always be there to help you.

The Thamesmead Community team can help if your community project or activity idea needs an injection of cash to get started. We can also support your existing project to keep going. We’re happy to lend practical encouragement to any ideas that benefit others in the community.

Our team can do this in a variety of ways.

Helping you to find funding

The Thamesmead 50th Fund, Peabody Community Fund and the Thamesmead Community Fund are three sources of potential funding that can transform your dreams into reality. We’d be delighted to guide you through our application processes.

Our team can also point you towards a range of others offering financial support for community projects. These include local government, the Big Lottery Fund and a mix of trusts and foundations such as that will fund projects fitting their criteria.

How to access funding

Once you know where to find funding, it’s essential to know how you can access it. We’ll guide you and build your understanding of what you need to do. We’ll offer advice; help you to register on websites such as fundingcentral.org.uk – where you can search for relevant funding opportunities – and book fundraising training courses run by local support groups. But that’s not all; we can also offer a critical eye and guidance on your written funding applications.

Volunteering support

Lastly, if your community group is newly established we can support you through our volunteering programmes to lighten your load on what can be a lengthy journey.

Please fill in the form via the "Fund Your Community Project" button below, so we can discuss your ideas and tailor our help to meet your needs.
