Thamesmead has a thriving start-up community. Every month we run pop-up markets where local businesses can showcase and sell products to local residents. We launched our Made in Thamesmeadevents to support local businesses and grow the local economy.
Our Thamesmead Economic Inclusion Team works with a network of groups and organisations offering support. Together, we can develop your idea and help you to make this a reality. We can also help you understand tax laws and the legal aspects of forming a company, discuss the pros and cons of self-employment, and give support around writing a business plan, marketing, branding, staffing and funding tips.
If you’re a creative individual or an aspiring entrepreneur living in or around Thamesmead, we want to hear from you. Without adequate support, almost everyone falls into common pitfalls or overlooks aspects of forming their own business – we’re available to make sure you don’t have to.
