The Thamesmead Socio-economic Team, which is part of the Peabody Community Foundation, works with local people to support healthier, wealthier and happier communities. We’ve listened to and worked with local people to create a range of activities and opportunities for everyone.
Indeed, you’ll also be able to access all kinds of opportunities from local businesses here. We’re aiming for this site to become your first port of call when thinking about starting, doing or achieving anything in your community.
You can get into training or employment, learn about starting your own business or access funding to start your own community project. We’ve also got plenty of practical advice and local support to help you overcome typical concerns, such as managing debt, being sure you’re getting the right benefits and successfully passing through the immigration system.
Would you like help to get fit, learn to cycle or get involved in team sports? Are you interested developing your skills? We offer accredited and non-accredited training courses in a range of different sectors.
