It provides therapy and rehabilitation for people suffering chronic pain. A range of treatments are on offer, which aim to reduce the burden of symptoms and to re-build self-confidence, self-esteem and offer sufferers greater independence.
The service also looks to tackle the problems that often go with chronic pain: other physical and mental health problems; difficulties with disability benefits and problems with medication.
Alongside the medical therapeutic treatments, the Kairos Trust offers a number of workshops for patients and others looking to broaden their social circles and try out new creative activities. They include: gardening; art; choir; music; wool-felting and aim to encourage new interests, friendships and skills.
If you would like to learn more about the groups, please contact Kairos’ Coordinator, Ingrid Hermansen on 07712 810 108.
