TfL has launched a new consultation so local people can give their input on the station design. It wants views on how the station will be built and how customers will access it, too.
The consultation also asks for feedback on how the impact on local communities, businesses and the environment can be limited during the construction of SE28’s first station. It is currently the only London postcode without a Tube or rail station.
TfL is hosting two drop-in sessions for residents to discuss the plans in person. The first event is at the Moorings Sociable Club, in Arnott Close, on Friday 19 June between 1pm and 5pm.
The second drop-in session is at Thamesmead Leisure Centre, in Thamesmere Drive, on Saturday 27 June 2026 from 12pm to 4pm.
This latest consultation follows a funding commitment by the Government in last November’s Budget, which allowed the long-awaited project to move forward. Residents have already helped to shape proposals for the DLR route, station locations and how the extension would work.
Residents can share feedback on how the DLR station will look any time before the consultation closes on Thursday 16 July.
