Join the Thamesmead Connectors to shape a healthier community

Local residents are invited to become Thamesmead Connectors — a community group shaping and running programmes to improve health, wellbeing and social connection across the town.

The group — part of the Connecting Thamesmead initiative, organised by Peabody, and Greenwich and Bexley boroughs — will meet regularly to share ideas, support local activities, and help bring neighbours together. It’s great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and make a real difference in your local area.

Your tasks may include visiting local projects, planning events, and finding other ways to connect residents to local activities or services. No experience is needed – just a desire to work with others. The Connecting Thamesmead team will brief you on your role and reimburse you for your time.

Apply now

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 25 June.

Successful applicants should be available to join an introductory meeting on the evening of Tuesday 2 July.
