Peabody and the House of Commons are working with artist Scarlett Crawford on a special project to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Race Relations Act.
During First Waves, Scarlett will work with community groups across the country, and we are looking for people from Thamesmead to join in. A free workshop will take place on Saturday 1 September at The Information Hub, 216 Yarnton Way, Thamesmead, DA18 4AX.
During the workshop Scarlett will encourage participants to share their experiences of race relations through drawing, participatory photography, and recorded interviews. The artworks will be exhibited at the Information
Hub in October 2018, and in early 2019 they will go on display in Parliament.
