The funding is the culmination of the BCC’s six-year Connected Communities Commission from Peabody. Once the new projects are commissioned, a total of £150,000 will have been invested in community projects.
Alongside these commissions, the organisation is launching a new round of its small grants fund, with grants of up to £500 available for one-off events.
It is also introducing a new programme of grants of up to £500 to support creative entrepreneurs aged under 20 years.
“With support from Peabody, we have commissioned 18 projects and co-produced seven community events so far,” said Carmel Britto, BCC’s Co-Founder and Chair.
“Once again, we're looking to fund enriching arts and culture workshops, projects, programmes and events made by the community, for the community, and delivered in the community.”
