Your chance to shape activities at Moorings Sociable Club

Residents can play their part in shaping the activities programme at the Moorings Sociable Club — and get paid for doing so.

The new Moorings Sociable Club Residents’ Panel will work with Peabody to decide on the events and services they want to see in the community space.

Dan Wells, Peabody’s Community Investment Lead in Thamesmead, said: “We’d like local people’s help to make the refurbished Moorings Sociable Club one of Thamesmead’s most vibrant community spaces.

“We’ll meet the new residents’ panel regularly to develop a programme that continues to offer the activities people would like to see in this space. It’s also a great chance to meet new people,  learn new skills and give back to the community.”

Panel members will get training to support their work on developing the activities programme. They will also be reimbursed at the London Living Wage rate for their time.
