Personal Specification:

You are between the ages of 18-25 and based in London

You have finished secondary education/ at university/ recently finished university

You are passionate about social change and making a difference

You have an interest in learning and applying Human-Centred Design to challenges

You have a desire to work in the community and voluntary sector

You have the capacity to do paid session work at Peabody

The programme:


The programme includes OCN level 3 progression as well as Human Centred Design and Thinking Workshops. There will be taught delivery and various tasks for learners to complete outside these times both individually and in groups.
Programme consists of four taught units:
- Peer Mentoring skills
- Peer Mentoring for learning
- Developing interpersonal skills
- Teamwork skills
The cohort will participate in a live design challenge where they will solve a current problem Peabody is facing. Once teaching is complete each young person can spend a small grant on a training/ course of their choice they feel will better their skills to work in the community sector.
There is also the possibility for paid ad hoc work at Peabody after completing the course in research, facilitation and collaboration on shaping policy and strategy.

- ‘How I got here’ sessions where Peabody staff will explain how they got to where they are today
