Employment and training

Free one-to-one employment and training support and job club from Peabody's employment and training service.

Positive Steps Thamesmead is aproject which can enables residents to get practical support and advice about benefits, debt and money management, housing, immigration and a host other issues.

The Atrium is an over 50s hub which offers a weekly schedule of activities, whether you want to take part in an activity including line dancing, tai chi or ballroom dancing or would like to join the darts team.

Food Banks

The Greenwich Food Bank helps Thamesmead residents in temporary crisis, by providing three days’ worth of emergency food.

A lifeline for many residents, it has two distribution centres in the area and their volunteers can offer practical advice, support and tell you where to get ongoing help. Please get in touch if you would like to get help or donate food.
