Junior Parkrun
Junior Parkrun is open to children aged 4 to 14. It is free and covers 2km every week.

Meeting at 9am every Sunday at Lesnes Abbey Wood Park.

 

Outdoor gym
If you’d like some fresh air with your workout, free outdoor gym equipment is available at The Link Thamesmead and at Middle Way in South Thamesmead.

Thamesmead Gym
Thamesmead Gym at The Link offers a fully-equipped gym and a wide range of classes. Open on Monday-Friday, between 9am-9pm, and at weekends from 10am-5pm, the gym offers workouts to everyone aged 16+.
£15 annual membership fee and £3 per session or £35 per month.
And if weights aren’t your thing, The Link offers a range of classes from combat to dance.

Thamesmere Leisure Centre
Run by Greenwich Leisure Limited, Thamesmere Leisure Centre has a range of facilities, including an 80-station gym, studio for fitness classes and a 25m fitness pool and shallow teaching pool.

There’s something for everyone, from children’s courses in swimming, dance and boxing, to over 50s aerobics classes.

Residents are welcome to use the gym or pool on a one-off basis, or they can take out a membership, which will give them access to all activities and classes here and across Greenwich.

Thamesmead Running Club
Thamesmead’s outdoor running club offers inspiration, motivation and moral support from fellow runners.

This friendly, social club operates all year round and offers sessions one to three times a week, free of charge.
Whether you're new to running, a social or recreational runner or looking to train up to enter a race, you’ll be very welcome.

Runners currently cover distances between 8-23km, but this will vary as the community grows.
