Connecting with people and places in Thamesmead

Connecting Thamesmead works to bring people together to reduce loneliness and isolation, improving people’s health and wellbeing as a result.

The programme looks at the complex factors that can lead to loneliness in the town. It also supports initatives that encourage innovative ways of working. That means high-quality services, events and activities reach more people in better ways – now and for years to come.

Connecting Thamesmead is funded by a partnership between Peabody and the public health teams in both Greenwich and Bexley councils. It is running from April 2023 to March 2026.
