Flag-making workshop

Join Thamesmead artist Paige Denham for a flag-making workshop, which will run throughout the day.

Painting workshop

Drop into this all-day painting workshop with artist Vanessa Nova. The session is inspired by Bauhaus artist Josef Albers’ famous Square painting. Suitable for all ages and experience levels. 

Crossness Pumping Station

Learn more about the iconic cathedral on the marshes and take mini-tours from the festival site to the Grade I-listed Victorian pumping station by hopping aboard its narrow-gauge railway.

Writing About Hair

Writer and storyteller Aude Konan leads a workshop exploring the cultural significance of hair.

Chinese calligraphy

Pick up a brush and try your hand at Chinese calligraphy in this creative workshop led by artist Ziska Lo.

Collaging workshop

Join artist Matt Ponting for drop-in collaging workshops, explore Bow Arts' work in Thamesmead and buy work by artists based at the Lakeside Centre.

LGBT+ Thamesmead

Thamesmead's LGBTQIA+ community group hosts a badge-making workshop and presents an exhibition celebrating Beautiful Thing, the iconic coming-of-age play and film set in the town.

Craft workshop

Take part in workshops with the Crafty Crafters, a thriving community group of local people, led by artist Marcus Orlandi.

Inner Gold CIC Safe Space

A well-being tent where kids – and their parents – can ask questions and take part in short activities to build confidence, self-esteem and resilience.

Peabody Environmental Services

Get to grips with some of the equipment used around Peabody's Environmental Services team to keep Thamesmead looking its best. Take part in a litter-picking competition.

Health stalls

Call in at health and wellbeing community stalls, including representatives from the SERV Kent Bloodrunners charity and NHS blood type testers.
