Thamesmead Community Fund

***The Thamesmead Community Fund is now open***

Thamesmead Community Fund awards grants of up to £3,000 to individuals and organisations who want to deliver cultural or community projects that benefit Thamesmead’s residents.

This year, for the first time, the Making Space for Nature Fund will form part of the TMCF – providing funding to individuals and groups who want to transform Thamesmead’s green spaces and help people engage with nature. The Connecting Thamesmead programme, which aims to bring people together to improve health and wellbeing, is also joining the fund.

Applications should be made via the London Community Foundation. Click here to apply and to read details of the latest government and Peabody guidelines which all TMCF projects must adhere to. Applications close on Monday 20 May at 12noon.

There will be an online Q&A session on Tuesday, 7 May at 5pm for those who have any questions about the fund. Please click here to join the meeting.

We accept applications for projects taking place in publicly accessible venues and on Peabody land, providing these are safe to access and all relevant health and safety documents have been submitted.

If you require a community space to deliver your project, we would like to encourage you to consider The Nest and the Moorings Sociable Club to help bring these spaces to life with new and exciting activity for local residents. If your activity is taking place between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, both venues will be available for at a subsidised rate of £10 per hour.
• The Nest is located near Southmere Lake, 3 Cygnet Square, London, SE2 9FA.
• Moorings Social Club is located at Arnott Close, Thamesmead SE28 8BG.
For details of how to register for a tour of the spaces and for more information, please contact ThamesmeadCommunityTeam@peabody.org.uk or call 020 3828 4920.

The money in the Thamesmead Community Fund comes from the fees that Peabody earns through location filming in Thamesmead and from the Peabody Community Foundation.
